Hi, I’m Kate.

I offer a warm, open and compassionate space for inner healing and growth .

Work With Me

My Approach

Collaborative

I see coaching as a truly collaborative experience. This means developing a safe and trusting relationship with you. I take on the role of guide rather than expert, as we work together to help you create a more connected and aligned life.

Present

I focus on being deeply present with you during our sessions. This means staying open and attuned to the present moment, with the hope that you feel seen, understood and supported during out time together.

Compassionate

I take a compassionate, non-judgmental stance when understanding any difficulties you are facing in your life. All parts of you will be fully welcomed here, especially those that hold shame, or that you tend to keep hidden in everyday life.

About Me

I am a mother, daughter, sister, friend and therapist, and I bring all aspects of my self and my experience to my work. I feel very privileged to do the work that I do. To be invited into someone’s inner world, to witness their personal story, and to companion them through the challenges they are currently facing.

I am incredibly passionate about helping people discover and explore their internal resources so that they can heal wounds from the past, rebuild connection to themselves and others, and live meaningful lives in the present.

I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. This approach is largely based on my own experience of therapy over the years, which has been invaluable to me in exploring the impact of my childhood experiences, becoming a mother, and navigating and grief and loss.

Therapeutic Coaching

I currently offer 1:1 virtual coaching sessions for adults. My standard fee is $250 per session.

My style of coaching is heavily informed by Internal Family Systems, a model of therapy the offers a non-diagnostic, deeply compassionate way of understanding why we are the way we are. It is deeply rooted in the philosophy that we are all made up of a multitude of parts, some of whom carry traumas and hurts from the past, and others that work incredibly hard to protect us from pain and being hurt again. I provide a space where all parts of you are welcome, where they will be seen and understood so that healing can happen.

I do not pretend to have it all figured out. Like you, I am a human on this journey, trying to integrate different parts of myself so that I can return home to who I truly am.

Services

Client Specialties

I work with all adults, but am particularly drawn to working with women, new mothers and parents. My background as a psychologist in Australia working with children and families very much informs my work with adults today.

My speciality areas include:

  • Women who struggle with anxiety, depression, people pleasing and/or self sacrifice

  • Relationship challenges

  • Pregnancy and birth support

  • The transition to motherhood

  • Parenting support

  • Grief and loss

  • Conscious separation

Background and Education

I am originally from Australia, where I received my Doctor of Clinical Psychology and practiced as a Psychologist for a number of years. In 2017, I relocated to the US and opened my coaching practice.

I have training in a number of therapeutic theories and models, all of which inform my coaching approach. These include Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Attachment theory and trauma informed therapy.

While I am currently in the process of applying for my psychology license in NY, I am offering coaching services only at this time. Coaching is not appropriate for serious mental health concerns, nor is it a substitute for psychological therapy.
